What to Do When a Specific Part of My Screen Doesn't Register Handwriting Input?
Table of Contents
If your pen suddenly stops responding on one area of the screen and writes just fine on the other parts, don't panic. This is often caused by nearby electronic devices or magnets interfering with your Supernote.
What's the solution?
The fix is straightforward: simply move your Supernote away from any potential sources of interference, such as:
- Your laptop
- Your smartphone or tablet
- Wireless chargers, Bluetooth speakers, or headphones
- External monitors or power banks
- Magsafe popsocket stickers
- Magnets
Why does this work?
Your Supernote uses Electromagnetic Resonance (EMR) technology to communicate with the pen. The screen emits a precise, low-energy electromagnetic field to track the pen’s position. Strong magnets or electromagnetic fields from nearby electronics, such as laptops, phones, wireless chargers, or speakers, can distort this field, creating areas where the pen cannot be detected.
If you've tried the above method and the issue persists, please feel free to reach out to us at service@supernote.com with a video of how your pen works.
