If you are a heavy note-taker, you might run into a message that says your note file is about to reach the 2GB size limit. In this article, you'll learn information on why this happens and what you can do to keep your note files from growing large fast.
Imagine writing on a certain page (e.g. Page 4) of your notebook before saving it. The next time you open the same notebook and write on the same page (Page 4) again, temporary data will be generated if you turn to another page and save the notebook. Generally speaking, the temporary data will be cleaned after you tap the "Back to Files" buttonto exit the notebook. When you use links/headings/keywords/stars/searches or tap Recent Files/Files in the sidebar menu to jump to the same page of the notebook, the temporary data will not be cleaned unless you tap the above-mentioned "Back" button to exit the notebook, which is something our users have not got accustomed to doing. That's why the file keeps growing.
So the best way to keep your note files from growing large fast is to always tapafter you finish taking notes on a page where notes already exist.
