Text Editing Made Easier
We're always listening to your feedback to make our note app more intuitive and enjoyable to use. You told us that only being able to double-tap with a finger to edit text wasn't always intuitive.
We heard you. Now, you have three different methods to start editing, so you can use the one that fits your workflow best.
1. The Old Method (Still works)
Simply one-finger double-tap the text you want to edit. If this is the method you're used to, you can keep using it as is.
2. The Precision Method (New!)
Long press the text box with your pen. This is perfect for when your finger feels imprecise. This method also aligns with the method used to edit headings and links.
3. The Selection Method (New!)
First, use the lasso tool to select the text box you want to edit. Then, tap the "Edit" button that appears in the popup menu. This is ideal for when you are already in a "selection flow" using the lasso tool, or if it's simply the method you're most accustomed to using.
These updates give you the freedom to edit your text in the way that feels most natural to you, whether you're a finger-tapper, a pen-first user or a power user who loves the lasso tool. It's all about making the app adapt to your style, not the other way around.
Happy note-taking!
